Layered Histories
In this series I explore the feel of history under our feet and the layers of memories that help to shape our understanding of the world. In Layered Histories, I explore the complex cultural layers that have formed iconic cities, landmarks, and spaces. The layering of maps, shapes, and abstractions reflect my research about the place, along with my and others’ experiences with a place. The history of a place is shaped by the layers of memories that are created there.
